The WTO has ruled in favor of Antigua twice, stating that the US restrictions against online gambling violate an international trade treaty. This is important because the WTO legalizes and legitimizes offshore gaming and it places international pressure on the US to comply with the WTO ruling.  However, in light of the new legislation recently passed in the US, it seems as though they are not planning to comply.
